We were pleased to participate in the 4th Annual Blue & Green 5K to celebrate organ, tissue and eye donation! Let's be the hope for over 5,000 people in New England in need of a transplant and 1.5 million others across the nation who rely on tissue donation to heal and enjoy health restored.

The event was created by LifeChoice! A little bit about them : LifeChoice is the federally designated, non-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) for six counties in Connecticut and three counties in Western Massachusetts, with a combined population of 2.3 million people. The OPO serves 23 acute care hospitals for organ, tissue donation and two organ transplant hospitals, Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.First established as a hospital based organ procurement organization (OPO) in 1971, LifeChoice became independent in 2002. Since LifeChoice was founded, thousands of families have donated organs and tissues, saving and improving the lives of many others.
